Coach Fry   My name is Steve Fry and I am excited to coach the Squirt A Team this year.  I was born in Canada where the love of the game began for me.  I grew up playing competitive travel hockey.  I have a background in teaching and a love of coaching hockey.  I have obtained a Level 4 Coaching Certification through USA Hockey.  At Arapahoe, I have coached four competitive travel teams with very successful records.  Last season I was the Head Coach for Squirt B.  The Squirt B Team was the CCYHL League Champions.  I have also been very active in the 8 and under program for six years. My coaching philosophy is basic.  I believe you need to challenge the team and the individual player.  Teach proper techniques in skill development. Be fun, firm, and fair, earn their respect, be positive, focus on skills, and use progression through the season to grow with your team.  I believe that hockey is a great way to teach young players life skills - respect, courage, discipline, commitment, leadership, independence, responsibility, socialism, understanding, focus, and effort.
