Arapahoe Ice Warriors Booster Club Minutes   JANUARY 8, 2008 President Steve Mulligan called the Arapahoe Ice Warriors Booster Club Meeting to order at 6:03PM on January 8, 2008.  The following members were present:  Kendra Alcock,   Michael Kohl, David Kahn, Kelly Martin, Lydia Daugherty, Karol Stevens, Steffani Blackstock, Andy Atencio, Kathy Shelton, Suzie Mulligan, Lena Paris, Trish Hoffman, Rick Cohen, and Lynn Wagner. The following teams were represented:  Squirt A, Squirt B, Squirt C-Major, Squirt C-Minor, PW AA, PW A, PW B-Major, PW B-Minor, Bantam A-Navy, Bantam A-Maize, Bantam B, Midget Minor AA, Midget Major A, Midget Minor A. Minutes from December 11, 2007 MOTION:  Andy Atencio made a motion to approve the December 11, 2007 minutes.  Rick Cohen seconded.  All in favor, passed. Treasurer’s Report:  NONE Old Business: - Early Bird Tournament:  Looking for several people to split pre-tournament duties. - Early Bird Tournament Directors:  Director and Co-Director needed.  Anyone interested please contact Steve Mulligan at mulliganst@comcast.net. - CCYHL:  Meeting being held tonight. - Pin Design:  Booster Club received refund check. ($1.00 a pin)  If interested in getting pins for your team contact Suzie Mulligan at slmulligan1@comcast.net - Goalie Coach:  All teams happy to have Brian TenEyck back as goalie coach. - Board Openings:  Treasurer needed by March                               President will be ending this October – Candidate David Kahn New Business:  -  Website:  Steve Mulligan spoke with Jamie Todd who stated that using the website for selling used equipment is a good idea but high maintenance.  Booster club to look into the cost of an independent website. - Hockey Days at Family Sports Center - Dave Lowry (In-House Director) gave a presentation:  USA Hockey Declarations:  Fri Feb 15 – “Wear Your Favorite Jersey to School Day”  Sat Feb 16 – “Bring a Friend to the Rink Day”  Sun Feb 17 – “Celebrate Local Hockey Heroes Days” Mile High Meltdown (MHM) Rec Hockey Tournament – Feb 14-18 Skills Showcase – Sat, February 16 (12-2pm) Public Skating – Fun events planned Feb 15-17 Promotions/Booths - Hockey Weekend Across America will be celebrated in the U.S. Feb 15-17, 2008 A three-day theme has been established.  Please check out the website:  www.hockeyweekendacrossamerica.com - Simple Fundraiser:  Rick Cohen presented another alternative for teams to have fundraisers by attending a time-share meeting. Individuals and/or couples attend a sales meeting presentation at any one of WorldMark’s three Colorado locations; for each qualified tour, your organization receives $100. -  Charity Event:  It was discussed and we will not be participating. - End of Season Gift:  Last year each team received $500. Discussed raising the amount to $600, $650 or $700 per team this year. MOTION:  Andy Atencio made a motion to approve $600 per team for End of Season Gift.    Lydia Daugherty seconded.  All in favor, passed.
