Arapahoe Hockey is excited to partner with Agility Hockey Systems to bring you
the 4th season of Summer SuperSkills!
There is no secret to hockey skill development. The fastest way to improve is to get tons of quality repetitions with continuous feedback. Take a look at the Player Activity Tracker to track the repetitions your player is being exposed to during typical practices and/or games and compare that to SuperSkills. It’s not even close!!
USA Hockey’s Player Activity Tracker examines these elements:
• Explanations (Length of time coach spends speaking)
• Skating (Time spent moving)
• Passing (Number of passes attempted)
• Passing (Number of passes received)
• Shots (Number of shots taken)
• Puckhandling (Time spent with puck on stick)
• Coaching feedback (Number of time coach interacts with player)
We would add these important elements:
• Non-Linear Skating (Skating in other than a straight line)
• Direction Changes (Number of stops/starts, power turns, transitions, pivots etc…)
Arapahoe Youth Hockey’s SuperSkills program offers the best combination of skill development and fun, and allows players the time to participate in other sports or activities and still come back after the summer a better player than the season before.
